AC Shadows Unveils Surprising AoT Crossover for Thanksgiving
In a surprising partnership that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has announced an virtual partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing free extra story content for Shadows players.
Peculiar Adventure Disclosed
According to the official release, "An unusual encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a original adventure, where hints of forbidden practices and terrifying metamorphoses reverberate through the darkness." The storyline presents a "oddly garbed woman named Ada" who assigns the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a key location from Attack on Titan—to save her friend from a secret sect.
The questline centers on "strange trials and a terrifying adversary" and is accessible to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.
Iconic Settings and Changes
The teaser highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was formerly where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser ends with a striking scene showing a character, likely the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.
Exclusive Rewards and Bonus Features
Players who finish the quest will receive an special katana together with several artifacts secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also features premium Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
