'I'm fully all in with Bayern' - Kane cools on Premier League homecoming

Kane marks his century goal for Bayern Munich

Harry Kane has declared that his enthusiasm in going back to the Premier League has lessened and he is open to explore a new agreement with Bayern Munich.

The accomplished striker is at the moment halfway through the four-year contract he agreed to when transferring to from Tottenham Hotspur for a substantial fee in the summer of 2023.

The experienced forward has accumulated an remarkable 103 goals in 106 games for the German club, playing a key role in them secure the 2024-25 Bundesliga crown - which marked the first important achievement of his illustrious career.

Tottenham manager Thomas Frank has recently stated that he would be pleased to see Kane come back to England, where he lacks 48 goals to surpass Alan Shearer's record Premier League scoring record of 260.

However, the England leader has now suggested that he is no longer as eager about returning home as he earlier was, and would seriously contemplate extending his stay in Bavaria.

"In terms of staying longer, I could definitely see that," he stated.

"I spoke openly a couple of weeks ago that I have not had those conversations with Bayern yet, but if they were to occur I would be willing to talk and have an frank conversation.

"Obviously it relies on how the next year or so progresses and what we achieve together. Right now, I would say we are in a excellent moment and I am not thinking about anything else.

"In terms of the Premier League, I don't know. If you had inquired me when I first left to go to Bayern, I would have said for sure I would come back.

"Now I have been there a couple of years I would perhaps say that has diminished a little bit, but I wouldn't say I would never go back.

"What I have discovered in my career is that different options and different timings happen and things work out. Going back to my first point with Bayern right now I am totally all in with Bayern."

Historic Achievements and Future Ambitions

Kane is the all-time top scorer for both Tottenham and England and not long ago became the quickest player this century to reach 100 goals for a club competing in one of Europe's top five leagues, securing the milestone in just 104 games for Bayern.

However, a title had avoided him until he secured the German title last season.

Kane reveals that he was not sure how he would respond after ending his trophy drought, but now believes it has made him eager for more success.

"When you win a title like I did last year, maybe it could be tempting to go the other way and be like, 'OK I've done what I wanted to achieve'," he continued.

"But it's given me more motivation to do more and be better. I think I've proven that this year.

"I was intrigued in how I would feel after winning a trophy. Obviously there's still a lot more I want to accomplish in terms of other trophies and bigger trophies for sure.

"But I think it was always just, in my head, what I was going to feel like after I did achieve winning my first one.

"But for sure, I pushed myself the other way in terms of being even better, eating even cleaner, doing more gym. Just trying to get the most out of what I've got right now."

Future Prospects

  • Continued success with Bayern Munich remains Kane's primary focus
  • The chance of a Premier League return has considerably decreased
  • New contract discussions could commence in the coming future
  • Kane's remarkable goal-scoring record continues to impress
