The Popular Show Campaign 4 Reveals the Soldiers Group

Ever since the premiere of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master the talented storyteller has kept fans guessing with extensive world-building, a wide array of personalities, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, demons, and dark forces expanding in power within Dol-Makjar.

Note: Revealing details for the third episode of this adventure follow below.

The Soldiers Table Unveiled

Episode 3 ended with a dramatic pause and presented the initial group of characters who will separate from the primary party to embark on their separate journey, separate from the other two tables.

The Soldiers table consists of Teor (brought to life by Travis Willingham), the agile character (the talented performer), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam Riegel), and Kattigan (Robbie Daymond).

The Reason for Division

Given an extensive roster, it was obvious from the start that keeping everyone at one table would be unfeasible.

That’s why, the first four episodes of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, weaving together the characters’ stories before splitting into three distinct groups: Soldiers, Strategists, and Questers.

Characteristics of the Soldiers Table

Per Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for adventurers who are drawn to a classically intense battle-oriented gameplay experience where peaceful solutions are rare.

At first glance, characters like the reluctant priest Wicander might look out of place, but the developments of episode 3 make it clear why these specific adventurers are best suited for the Soldiers table.

Reasons to Leave

For one thing, the team has a clear idea where to go next after a intense first encounter with the antagonists.

An old friend of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—exploited the enemy for his own means, breaking into the secret base, attacking the rogue, and stealing all the enchanted items to auction.

Casimir then cleared his obligations and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above Dol-Makjar, with Cyd Pridesire close behind.

Individual Reasons

Secondly, each member has a personal reason to exit Dol-Makjar:

  • Thimble, as Thjazi’s partner and best friend, wants vengeance.
  • Kattigan has experience in the region and advises that it is a dangerous location.
  • Tyranny and The healer, having defied his family’s wishes to execute the target and instead freed him, have nowhere else to go.
  • Yet, their reputation as prominent individuals in the influential clan could assist the group enter locations they normally couldn’t.
  • Additionally, The grateful character swore a eternal obligation to The savior for his deliverance and will now go with him wherever.

Pursued by Authorities

Lastly, all of them are sought by the authorities that govern the setting for a variety of reasons, making staying in the city no longer safe:

  • The rogue and The hero are known criminals.
  • Tyranny and The cleric turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are partnered with.
  • The target is targeted for elimination by House Halovar.

This results in them few options but to journey toward the remote area in quest for the antagonist.

Upcoming Developments

From the latest episode’s Cooldown, we learn that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the rest of the players to form the Seekers and Strategists tables.

Viewers can anticipate discovering which characters will be where in the story’s concluding setup installment, released on October 24.
